SS10에서 Solaris1.1(OS4.1.3)과 hangul_openwin2.0 사용시 문제점

SUBJECT: SS10에서 Solaris1.1(OS4.1.3)과 hangul_openwin2.0 사용시 문제점

DESCRIPTION:
SS10에 SunOS4.1.3을 install할때 disk space의 부족으로 openwindow를
select 하지 않고 나중에 /usr/openwin을 link하여 copy한다음 openwindow를 사용
하려하니 다음과 같은 error를 발생시키며 window의 사용이 불가능 하였음

포기상태에 있다가 조진우씨의 도움으로 다음과 같이 trace하여 일단 문제점은 찾아냄
  1) shell script trace
     # ( sh -xv `which openwin` > /tmp/aa ) > & /tmp/err
     # vi /tmp/err
           .....
      # start up xinit and thus the server.
        $OPENWINHOME/bin/xinit -- ${SERVER-$OPENWINHOME/bin/xnews} $DISPLAY $PASSTHRU $AUTH
        + /usr/openwin/bin/xinit -- /usr/openwin/bin/xnews :0 -auth //.xnews.ss10:0
        ClassKeyboard couldn't initialize the keyboard.

  2) 문제점
     - 별별짓을 다하다 error를 trace하여 "Sun Type 5" 키보드의 지원이 않되는
       것으로 추정하여 HWS100의 Key board를 연결한후 openwin을 띄우니 이상없이 뜸
     - Soularis 1.1에 bundle되어 있는 openwindow2.0.2에는 Sun Type 5 keyborad가
       define되어 있는것 같고, 그이하의 version에서는 type 5 keyboard의 mapping
       table이 없는것 같음

Starting OpenWindows 2.0 using a type 5 keyboard generates

SOLUTION SUMMARY   :
Since OpenWindows 2.0 FCS does not support type-5 keyboard, there are
two solutions to the problem:
1. Upgrade to OpenWindows 3.0.
2. Install the software that comes with the type-5 keyboard
   for use with OW 2.0.
