NIS 장애유형 ( no such map in server's domain)


ypclient(anyon,cyon) 이 있는데 anyon 에서 위의 messages 가 나타남

sol) cd /var/yp 에 nicknames file 이 있는데 cyon 에는 있고
anyon 에는 없음. 누군가 지웠는가 보다.
ftp 로 get 하니 정상.
nickanmes 는 hosts.byaddr, hosts.bynames 를 hosts 로 nickname 화
시켜서 ypcat hosts 에서 hosts.bynames, hosts.byaddr 를 본다.
실제 hosts.byname 은 이름,주소, hosts.byaddr 은 주소,이름순임.

Executing ypcat on an NIS map gets the error message
	
	"no such map in server's domain"

For example:

	jurassic% ypcat netmasks
	          no such map in server's domain

SOLUTION SUMMARY:

Nickname is not defined for that map.  Use mapname.byxxx instead.

For example:

	jurassic% ypcat netmasks.byaddr
