AXIL Raid configuration




RAID controller를 구성하기 위하여 다음 스텝을 수행한다.
1.serial port를 연결한다.
2./etc/remote file에 다음을 첨가하고 save한다.
  mylex:dv=/dev/cua/a:br#19200:pa=none: ----> serial port가 A일때
  mylex2:dv=/dev/cua/a:br#19200:pa=none: ----> serial port가 B일때
3./usr/openwin/bin/xterm 윈도우를 구동시킨다.
4.xterm window에서 다음 명령어를 입력한다.
  #tip mylex --> serial port가 A일때
  #tip mylex2 --> serial port가 B일때
5.Connected가 표시되면 ~#을 type하여 RAID구성 유틸리티로 들어간다.
6.RAID구성 유틸리티 menu를 종료할때는 ~.를 type한다.

LUN을 구성하기 위하여 다음 스텝을 수행한다.
1.Type in tip mylex
2.Send break signal ~#.
3.Press ENTER when asked for PASSWORD in tip window.
4.Select 1 (CONFIGURATION) option in main menu.
5.Select 3 (CREATE ARRAY) option.
6.Select channel number (0 or 1)depedding on disk localtion.
7.Select targerID(0,1,2,3)depending on disks localtion.
8.After selecting the required drives,press ESC key.
9.Enter 5 for RAID5.
10.Enter LUN size.example 4095(Look at available capacity,example 4095MB).
11.Select write through mode by pressing the ENTER key.
12.Press Y to create LUN.
13.Press any key(to refresh screen).
14.Press the N key to go to next the screen in the configuration menu.
15.Press 3(SAVE CONFIGURATION) option to save the configuration.
16.Press Y to save configuration.
17.Press any key (to refresh screen).
18.Press N to go to the next screen in the Configuration Menu.
19.Select 1 (Start Initialize) option.
20.Enter 0 (for LUN 0).
   LUN 초기화시작과 함께 persentage가 window상단에 표시가 될것이다.
   persentage가 100%가 되면 다음 스텝을 이어가시오.
21.Press the ESC key.
22.Press ~.keys to exit from the RAID configuration utility.
23.system을 down시키고 -r option과 함께 booting한다.
24.format utility에서 partition한다.
25.newfs command를 사용하여 file system을 생성한다.
26.file을 mount하여 사용한다.
